You send a resource you trust, or we pull one from ongoing monitoring of open directories, newsletters, and community boards. The source must be live, free to access, and free of paywalls or registration traps.

We check the domain history, the author or maintainer, and the update frequency. A tool that has not been maintained for two years does not enter the index, no matter how well it once worked.

Each card gets a short description, a difficulty level, the available language, and context tags. The wording stays plain and factual, so you can compare entries without decoding marketing language.

The resource is placed into one of the main sections: productivity, design, web development, open education, digital culture, or online wellbeing. Cross-listing happens only when a resource genuinely serves two categories.

Once live, the entry is reviewed quarterly. If a link breaks, a tool changes its pricing model, or a community goes inactive, the card is updated or removed. The index reflects what works now, not what worked last year.
The whole cycle takes about five working days from submission to publication. If you want to see which categories are currently being expanded, check the capabilities overview or compare the available plans.
